Websites for gyms and fitness centres

Gym and fitness centre websites for memberships, classes and trial visits

Before joining, people want to know the plans, the timings and what the place feels like. A gym website shows all three and makes booking a trial visit a single tap.

The problem

What gets in the way for a gym

  • Membership prices asked again and again

Plans, durations and joining fees get explained one enquiry at a time, at the front desk and on the phone.

  • Trials happen by chance

Someone walks in, asks to look around and leaves with a pamphlet. There's no simple way to arrange a proper trial session.

  • Class schedules live in WhatsApp groups

Timetable changes are posted in groups, buried by chat, and people who haven't joined yet never see them.

  • Campaigns need pages fast

A New Year offer or a summer batch needs a page you can share in minutes, not only a poster at the entrance.

What to include

What your website should include, and why

  • 01

    Membership plans side by side

Monthly, quarterly and yearly plans compared on one screen, with prices you choose to show or mark “on request”.

  • 02

    A timetable built for phones

Classes by day and time in a layout that's easy to read on a small screen, unlike a photo of the schedule board.

  • 03

    Trial-visit requests on WhatsApp

A button opens a chat asking for a preferred day and time, so a trial gets arranged in one exchange.

  • 04

    Trainer profiles with real certifications

Names, specialities and genuine certifications help members choose a trainer they'll trust.

  • 05

    Facilities and timings

Equipment, changing rooms, parking and opening hours answer the practical questions before a visit.

  • 06

    Campaign landing pages

A focused page for each offer or new batch, easy to share on WhatsApp and Instagram.

Most gym websites are built as business websites; the other option is landing pages.

Before you publish a transformation story

Before-and-after stories persuade, which is why advertising codes watch them closely. Each one you publish should meet these points.

  • The member has given written consent
  • The result is real, and the photos aren't edited to exaggerate it
  • A note says results vary from person to person
  • Nothing promises a specific result in a set time
  • No claim to cure or treat a medical condition
  • Supplements and diets aren't presented as guaranteed shortcuts

Advertising rules to keep in mind

  • ASCI's advertising codes cover health and fitness claims, so describe your programmes without promising outcomes.
  • List trainer certifications only if they are genuine and current.

This is a summary to plan your website around, not legal advice. Please confirm the rules that currently apply to you; we build the website around what you confirm.

Demo / Concept

Plank & Prana is a fictional gym and yoga studio we built to show these ideas in practice. It isn't a client project.

FAQ

Questions gym owners ask

Should a gym show membership prices online?

Many gyms do, because price is the first question people ask. If your prices change with offers, you can list the plans with “price on request” instead.

How do I publish a class timetable?

As a simple table on the page, by day and time, that reads well on a phone. Unlike an image posted in a group, it's always in the same place.

Can members book classes on the gym's website?

Members can request a class or a trial on WhatsApp, and you confirm it. Booking systems aren't something we build; if you already use a booking app, the site can link straight to it.

Can I post member transformation photos?

Only with written consent, with a note that results vary, and without promising a set result in a set time. Advertising codes treat these claims seriously.
