Websites for used-car dealers
Websites for used-car dealers: car details, test drives and enquiries that name the car
Buyers want the year, kilometres, fuel, owners and price before they visit. A dealer website gives every car its own page and makes every enquiry say which car it's about.
The problem
What gets in the way for a used-car dealer
Stock moves faster than the portals
Cars sell and arrive every week, and paid portal listings make every car expensive to advertise.
Buyers want details before visiting
Year, kilometres, fuel, owners, insurance and price decide whether a buyer makes the trip to your yard.
“Is it available?” But which car?
Enquiries arrive without the model or registration, so every reply starts with a question.
Paperwork worries
Buyers ask about inspection, service history, RC transfer and insurance before they commit.
What to include
What your website should include, and why
- 01
A page for each car
Photos, year, kilometres, fuel, transmission, owners, insurance validity and price on one shareable page.
- 02
Enquiries that name the car
The WhatsApp button on each car page includes the car's reference, so you know which one the buyer means.
- 03
Test-drive requests
Buyers ask for a test drive with a preferred day and time, straight from the car's page.
- 04
A sell-your-car section
Sellers send the make, model, year and kilometres on WhatsApp, so you can value the car before they visit.
- 05
Sold cars clearly marked
Cars that have gone are labelled as sold, so buyers don't chase one that's no longer there.
- 06
Paperwork explained once
Inspection, service history, RC transfer and insurance transfer explained for every buyer in one place.
Most used-car dealer websites are built as business websites; the other option is custom websites.

What every car page should list
Buyers filter in their heads before they call. Give them these details up front:
- Make, model and variant
- Year of manufacture and registration
- Kilometres driven
- Fuel type and transmission
- Number of previous owners
- Insurance type and validity
- Service history, if available
- Price, or “price on request”
Brand and accuracy points to check
- Avoid manufacturer logos and any suggestion of authorisation unless a manufacturer has authorised you.
- Make sure every car's details, especially kilometres and number of owners, match its documents.
This is a summary to plan your website around, not legal advice. Please confirm the rules that currently apply to you; we build the website around what you confirm.

FAQ
Questions used-car dealers ask
Can I update my car stock myself?
There's no self-editing dashboard in our websites, and stock changes quickly, so we agree how updates will work before building. Tell us how many cars you usually have listed.
How do enquiries tell me which car a buyer wants?
Each car page has its own WhatsApp button with the car's reference in the message, so every enquiry names the car.
How should sold cars appear on the website?
Mark them as sold for a while rather than removing them at once. Buyers see what moves quickly, and nobody enquires about a car that's gone.
Can I show inspection reports for each car?
Yes. An inspection summary on each car page builds confidence, as long as it reflects a real inspection.
Can buyers apply for car finance on my website?
We don't build finance applications. Your website can explain the finance options you work with and invite buyers to ask about them on WhatsApp.
