Websites for clinics
Clinic websites with doctor schedules, specialities and simple appointment requests
Patients call to ask which doctor sits when. A clinic website shows each doctor's OPD days and timings, their qualifications and how to request an appointment, so patients can find out before they call.
The problem
What gets in the way for a clinic
“Is the doctor in today?”
Patients call again and again to ask which doctor is available on which day, and at what time.
Several doctors, one confusing picture
Multiple specialities and visiting consultants are hard to present clearly on a signboard or a listing.
Appointments juggled by phone
Queues and slots are managed over calls, and patients don't know how long they'll wait.
Credentials are hard to find
Patients want qualifications and registration numbers, and directory profiles rarely show them.
What to include
What your website should include, and why
- 01
An OPD timetable by doctor
Each doctor's days and hours in one clear table answers the question patients call about every day.
- 02
Doctor profiles with registration numbers
Qualifications, specialities and medical council registration numbers, stated factually.
- 03
Speciality pages
General medicine, paediatrics, gynaecology and others described factually, each linking to its doctors' timings.
- 04
Appointment requests on WhatsApp
A button opens a chat with prompts for the doctor or speciality and a preferred day.
- 05
Patient instructions
What to bring, whether to fast and where to go on arrival, written once for every patient.
- 06
Clear emergency guidance
If you don't run an emergency service, say so prominently and tell patients where to go instead.
Most clinic websites are built as business websites.

What a doctor's profile should show
Patients look for these details before choosing a doctor. Each one should be accurate and current.
- Full name and qualifications
- Medical council registration number
- Speciality and areas of practice
- OPD days and timings at this clinic
- Languages spoken
- Teleconsultation details, only if offered
Medical advertising rules to check
- Medical ethics regulations restrict advertising and solicitation by doctors.
- The Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act, 1954 restricts claims about curing certain conditions.
- Online consultations must follow the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines.
- Confirm the current rules, and make sure no page promises an outcome.
This is a summary to plan your website around, not legal advice. Please confirm the rules that currently apply to you; we build the website around what you confirm.

FAQ
Questions clinics ask
How should doctor availability be shown?
As an OPD timetable by doctor with days and timings, plus a note telling patients where holidays and changes are announced.
Can patients consult a doctor online through the website?
If you offer teleconsultations, the website explains how they work and how to request one. The consultation itself happens on the platform you already use.
Can we show patient testimonials?
Medical ethics rules restrict them, so many clinics leave them out. If you include any, they must be genuine, consented and free of outcome claims; confirm the current rules first.
Do we need an emergency notice if we don't treat emergencies?
Yes. A clear note telling patients where to go in an emergency, such as the nearest hospital, stops someone waiting on a reply in a crisis.
